Your Checkoff Dollars at Work: Teaching Kids the Stages of Corn Production

The Tennessee Corn Promotion Council recently collaborated with TV personality and agriculture advocate, Cowboy Dan Harrell on an educational video to help children understand the stages of corn production from seed to harvest. In the video, Cowboy Dan visits with Nick & April Patterson of Acres of Grace Farm throughout the year to see how corn is planted, grown, and harvested for silage.

Through fun visits to the Patterson's corn crop fields, music, and stories, Cowboy Dan explains the importance of corn production for feed, fuel, and fiber. Viewers will get to see how corn silage is harvested, marvel at a science experiment with ethanol fuel, and be delighted by Cowboy Dan’s original music - among other various learning segments.

Investing in consumer education is just one of the primary focuses of the Tennessee Corn Promotion Council. This educational resource video is perfect for Tennessee parents and teachers to effectively integrate and inspire their children about agriculture at home and in the classroom.
