TENNESSEE CORN EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT
Dresden, TN, August 26, 2024 – Tennessee Corn Executive Director Carol Reed announced today that she will retire from her position on December 31, 2024. Reed has served in this position since 2019.
“Being a part of the Tennessee agricultural community and contributing to Tennessee Corn’s success for the last five years has been an honor and privilege,” said Reed. “It has also truly been a labor of love to be able to work side-by-side with the outstanding, dedicated farmers who serve on the Tennessee Corn Promotion Board and the officers of the Tennessee Corn Growers Association.”
Reed played an integral role in developing the Tennessee Corn Promotion Board and revitalizing the Tennessee Corn Growers Association in collaboration with grower leaders. Since then, her efforts have established Tennessee Corn as an integral part of the Tennessee agriculture community.
“On behalf of the Tennessee Corn leadership team, I wish to extend our heartfelt congratulations and sincere gratitude to Carol Reed for her devoted service to both Tennessee Corn organizations,” said John Townsend, Chairman of the Tennessee Corn Promotion Board. “As she prepares to step down, a transition period has been established to ensure a successful transition to the next executive director.”
