TCGA, TCPB Hold Summer Meetings, Elect Officers

NCGA Board of Director, Bill Leigh gives policy updates at the annual TCGA meeting. 

The Tennessee Corn Growers Association and the Tennessee Corn Promotion Board held annual summer meetings in Jackson, Tennessee.  

During the meeting, attendees heard policy updates from Bill Leigh, Board Director for the National Corn Growers Association: NCGA.com.

Katie Miesse, Conservation Agronomist Manager for Agricenter International, shared current activities for the Farmers for Soil Health partnership: FarmersforSoilHealth.com.

Officer elections were also held at the August meetings. 

For the Tennessee Corn Growers Association, Rob Holman of Obion County was elected President, Karl Forsbach of Hardin County was elected Vice President, and Logan Meeks of Lauderdale County was elected Secretary/Treasurer. 

For the Tennessee Corn Promotion Board, John Townsend of Henry County was elected Chairman, Shane Burchfiel of Dyer County was elected Vice-Chairman and Kim Sellers of Dyer County was elected Secretary/Treasurer. 

Rob Holman thanked outgoing President Carl Schultz for his service to TCGA.

John Townsend thanked outgoing Chairman Andy Davis for his service to TCPB.
